Yo motha fuckers!

Here’s an awesome compilation of how Joe Rogan spends his Christmas days, going back to 2012.

From hiking, listening to audio books (Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind), going beast on some elk tartar, smoking wild hog, and venison…

Shooting bows and working out, all while watching UFC in the background. Joe:

Tools of the day: two 70lbs kettle bells to kick shit off. I start out with single hand 50lbs swings to warm up. I do 2 sets of 10 on each side to warm up, then I move to one set of 10 with 70 on each side and then finally two sets of 10 with two 70lbs at once. From there I move to deadlifts. The hex bar is controversial for some folks but I love it, especially when I’m lifting heavy. I do deadlifts with a standard bar when I’m doing high reps but anything over 225 I like the hex bar. I do one set of 10 with 315 and then 2 sets of 6 with 405. From there I slap the 40lbs weighted vest on and alternate between squats with 225 and dips for 3 sets of each. I do this workout with a little variation once a week. It’s my “power” workout. One huge factor for me is @onnit Shroom Tech Sport. I take 4 before every workout along with 4 Alpha Brains. It makes a huge difference. I’ve done the workout with it and without it, and with it I have way more energy and enthusiasm. I can get this whole workout done in less than 45 minutes and when it’s over I feel exhausted and invigorated.

With gratitude and love, Merry Christmas bitches!

We are so fucked. I want you to think about this – it fucking sweats to cool down. It might be doing shitty push-ups now, but in a year it will be able to launch itself over a building with those pushups like the hulk and it’ll be solar powered with a backup system that lets it run on human bodies. I posted this on twitter a couple days ago and I’ve been thinking about it non stop ever since. I really wonder if we’re creating our own successors with our constant desire for technological innovation and improvements. I wonder if this has been our destiny all along, and all of our pointless desires to posses the latest and greatest gadgets is just a program built into us that’s fueling the creation of the next stage of life on earth. We are like insatiable caterpillars unaware that we are mindlessly building electronic cocoons which will give birth to gods.
